Party Leaders ‘come out’ in favour of civil partnerships
Leaders of all Scotland’s political parties, including First Minster Jack McConnell, have marked the first anniversary of civil partnerships with statements emphasising its success and importance to Scottish society. Responding to an invite to a ceilidh, organised by the Equality Network, Stonewall Scotland and LGBT Youth Scotland to celebrate the first anniversary of civil partnership, the First Minister underlined the importance of equality in a modern Scotland.
