Briefing for MSPs for hate crime bill stage 1 debate
This is the Equality Network's briefing for MSPs, for the stage 1 debate on the Offences (Aggravation by Prejudice) (Scotland) Bill.

On May 19th 2008, Patrick Harvie MSP introduced the Offences (Aggravation by Prejudice) (Scotland) Bill in the Scottish Parliament. The bill will for the first time recognise homophobic, transphobic and disability-related hate crime in Scotland. The Parliament first debated the bill on March 18th 2009.
