Third submission on same-sex marriage
This is the Equality Network's third submission to the Scottish Parliament Public Petitions Committee, on same-sex marriage.
See also our policy priorities page on this issue.
The Scottish Parliament Public Petitions Committee is considering a petition calling for same-sex marriage to be available. The Equality Network has been asked twice by the Committee to submit our views. Our first submission explained why same-sex marriage is needed. Our second submission set out how we thought the legislation could be changed to allow same-sex marriage. We then made a third submission in reply to a Scottish Government submission which (inaccurately) criticised our second submission.
Our third submission is attached below. On the Parliament's website are all submissions made to the Committee.
