Ensuring the Safety of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People: Policing and Beyond
The ACPOS LGBT Reference Group Biennal Conference meets on Thursday 17th December 2009, 10am – 4pm, in Fife.
We all hope never to be a victim of crime, but, if we are, we need to have confidence in the police and the structures in place to help at a difficult time.
This national conference provides an opportunity for LGBT groups and people across Scotland to come together with representatives from the police and national LGBT organisations to discuss how to establish trust between the police and LGBT people.
The day will explore the challenges around LGBT Community safety drawing on personal experiences, the early findings from a new Community Safety Survey and offer an opportunity to learn about and influence police policy through workshops and panel discussions.
Register now: 170 people attended the previous conference: to register your place for this important day, see registration form attached.
Registration FREE : Places will be offered on a first come first served basis. Scottish Police College, Tulliallan Castle, Kincardine, Fife, FK10 4BE. (Transport from Stirling Rail Station will be provided.)
