Briefings on hate crime bill proposal
These are the Equality Network's briefings about Patrick Harvie MSP's proposal for a member's bill on hate crime.
On October 2nd 2007, Green MSP Patrick Harvie submitted a proposal for a member's bill in the Scottish Parliament to deal better with homophobic, transphobic and disability-related hate crime. During December 2007, 45 MSPs signed up to support the proposal, and on January 15th 2008, the Scottish Government announced their support for the proposal.
