
LGBTI people use public services like any other section of the community, but there are many specific needs that LGBTI people have. Our public services have huge influence on inclusive change here in Scotland The Public Body Initiative of the Year, sponsored by Unison Scotland will celebrate and recognise the best initiative.
The six short-listed nominees in this category are;
Judicial Institute of Scotland for thier work on transgender training and review of the Equal Treatment Bench Book
National Gender Identity Clinical Network for Scotland for the foundation of a new body to coordinate gender reassignment activity in Scotland
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde for thier LGBT inclusive training for staff
Scottish Prison Service – New training DVD and policies around transgender prisoners
Scottish Government for the One Scotland Campaign
Travel and International Health Team, NHS National Services Scotland for their work on inclusive LGBT travel information
