The Equality Network Annual Reception 2013 will take place on Tuesday 5 November, 6pm-8pm, in the Scottish Parliament’s Garden Lobby.
As this year’s reception will be held just two or three weeks before the first crucial Parliamentary vote on the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Bill the event will focus on our final push for equal marriage in Scotland.
This is our opportunity to make sure MSPs know how important passing this Bill is. So please come along to show your support, and to celebrate the Equality Network’s 16 years of working for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality.
It promises to be a great evening, with wine and refreshments, guest speakers including Alex Neil, the Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary with responsibility for LGBT equality (including the marriage bill), and entertainment from the Loud and Proud Choir.
The reception is kindly sponsored by: Marco Biagi MSP (SNP), Margaret McCulloch MSP (Scottish Labour), Jackson Carlaw MSP (Scottish Conservatives), Willie Rennie MSP (Scottish Lib Dems), and Patrick Harvie MSP (Scottish Greens).
