The Equality Network is working in partnership with sportscotland, sports governing bodies (SGBs), local authorities, sports clubs, leisure trusts and other providers of sport to improve the involvement of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people in Scottish sport.

We know through our ground-breaking research that LGBTI people still face some barriers to participation in sport, and that for some homophobia, biphobia, transphobia or interphobia has meant that they don’t see sport as welcoming to them.

We can provide training or resources for SGBs, clubs, leisure trusts or sports providers – should you be interested in training please fill out our training enquiry form
