Our next live blog from the Scottish Parliament Equal Opportunities Committee, as they take evidence on the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Bill, will start at 9.30am on Thursday 19th September. We’ll be keeping you updated on the latest news from the Committee room as it happens.
This week, the Committee will hear from two QCs, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, an expert on same-sex partnership law around the world, and an expert on public opinion.
At last week’s session the Committee heard from: The Church of Scotland, The Scottish Council of Jewish Communities, The Free Church of Scotland, Scotland for Marriage and The Scottish Episcopal Church. Followed by: Scottish Youth Parliament, The United Reformed Church, The Humanist Society Scotland and Amnesty International Scotland.
