Joy for All Maker’s Market

Every year, Equality Network hosts Joy for All, an accessible makers market, which we developed in response to requests from the disabled LGBTI community.

The event includes stalls from LGBTQI+ organisations, crafters and makers and, with an emphasis on new and hobby sellers who may have been priced out of more commercial spaces or found them to be inaccessible. We ask our makers to bring plenty of affordable options and maybe a crafty activity or two to make it a genuine community space for all. We value human creativity and craftsmanship, we do not support the use of AI in creating artwork or crafts.

At each event we also provide craft along tables where attendees can bring their own craft projects or have a go at a choice of crafts with the provided materials and take away what they’ve made.

It is free to have a stall at Joy for All and we have an application process where we prioritise LGBTQI+, Black and People of Colour, disabled and neurodivergent creators. We are proud of our welcoming and accessible atmosphere and aim to improve every year.
