Pride in Our Community 2026

We’re really excited to announce Pride in Our Community 2026! This year we are working in partnership with Disabled Queer Edinburgh and Exhale.Group, to create a pride that is accessible and inclusive for ALL. This is a space for us to strengthen community, share in our collective joy and anger – and demand better. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💓

Join us on the 16th May, 11am-4pm on Leith Links in Leith, Edinburgh. This is a space for us to strengthen community, share in our collective joy and anger – and demand better. Pride in our Community is for ALL.

We will host a range of speakers from across our diverse community and will engage with intersectional issues. There will be a pride picnic, in partnership with Disabled Queer Edinburgh, as well as fun games and activities with both Exhale.Group and DQE! There will be community information stalls, some local community organisations facilitating activities, and a craft space.
Keep an eye on our page over the next few weeks for a full announcement of speakers, stalls and activities that will take place on the day.

Workshops

Bollyqueer

Join us for an energetic, inclusive, beginner friendly Bollywood dance workshop led by the Bollyqueer team!

Bollyqueer is a dance space that aims to make Bollywood dance accessible and enjoyable for all. It is the UK’s first and only all LGBTQIA+ POC Bollywood dance troupe, where movement isn’t gendered, and performers are encouraged to wear clothing that makes them feel most comfortable. At Bollyqueer, we believe dancing is for everyone, so you are all encouraged to attend, regardless of experience or identity!

The background is an image of the Bollyqueer group dancing with their arms up, they are smiling, wearing golden decorative tops and have swirling rainbow striped skirts. It says: "BOLLYQUEER Workshop & Performance. The Pride in Our Community logo is in the lower left corner, in the lower right it says "16th May - 11am-4pm, Leith Links, Edinburgh". At the bottom is a purple bar with the Equality Network, Scottish Trans, Disabled Queer Edinburgh and Exhale.Group logos. An image of two Bollyqueer dancers. They are leaning on each other and smiling, the right dancer has their arms wrapped around the left dancer. They are wearing long rainbow striped skirts with decorative embroidery at the bottom, and golden shirts. An image of four Bollyqueer dancers in front of a large sign. The three dancers in the back are wearing blue skirts and golden saris and tops, they have their arms stretched into the air. In the centre is a dancer squatting with their arms crossed, they have a beard and short brown hair, they are wearing a long rainbow striped skirt and gold shirt.

Devilish Fashion

Devilish Fashion is a sustainable fashion brand, focused on recycling and giving old clothes new life. Join us for the “Re-Work, Re-Use, Re-Love” Workshop. Bring along your unloved clothes, and have fun learning to patch, mend and rework old into new.

The background is a scanned image of graph paper. In hand-written block letters it says "Re-work, Re-Use, Re-Love". Below there are two stars that look like sticky notes, they say "re-working workshop with Devilish Fashion to give your clothes a second life. Bring clothes that need some TLC and learn how to mend, patch and re-work old into new." The Pride in Our Community logo is in the top right corner, in the lower left it says "16th May - 11am-4pm, Leith Links, Edinburgh". At the bottom is a purple bar with the Equality Network, Scottish Trans, Disabled Queer Edinburgh and Exhale.Group logos. A picture of the designer behind Devilish Fashion. They are sitting in a wheeled office chair, they are wearing black baggy jeans and have a red patterned t-shirt on. They have short shaved hair and are looking at the camera with a neutral face. Behind them there is a banner that says Devilish Fashion and a collection of embroidered and upcycled ties. There is a sewing machine to the right. A picture of the designer behind Devilish Fashion. They are sitting at a stall covered in black fabric, behind a grey singer sewing machine. They are smiling and have short, pink hair and are wearing a white tank top. To their right is a wire grid rack holding lots of upcycled ties. In front of the sewing machine are lots of different embroidered patches.
