Since 1997, the Equality Network has championed LGBTI+ rights and challenged discrimination within communities in a number of ways.
We have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who travel throughout Scotland to advocate for equality and work tirelessly to improve the human rights of LGBTI+ people.
Volunteers are integral in supporting this important work. There are a variety of volunteering opportunities within the Equality Network.
Each role provides a range of benefits throughout the year.
March Volunteers: Volunteers participate in Pride marches, carrying the Equality Networks flags, banners and assist in create placards, distribute them, and gather them back in.
Drivers: Volunteer drivers assist with transporting Equality Network items and stall setups for Pride events. For this position, volunteers must have a clean licence.
Community Engagement team: Assist Equality Network staff with setting up at Pride events and being a welcoming face for individuals who visit our stall. Help put up and close stalls throughout the Pride festival days.
Applications are open to everyone, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. To volunteer, you must be 18+ for volunteers under 18 you must be accompanied by a guardian.
